Rahab Poem

There once was a woman

Who lived on a wall,

And she’d seen kingdoms crumble;

She’d seen towers fall

Before runaway slaves

And the Pillar of Flame

That they called by the Name of “The LORD.”

There once was a woman

Who lived on a wall

And feared only one thing,

Only one thing at all:

She didn’t fear soldiers

Or telling them lies

Because now she feared only the LORD.

There once was a woman,

Alive, live and well,

Though she lived on the wall

On the day the wall fell

And she climbed through the rubble

To take Mercy’s hand

And be called by the Name of the LORD.
