My talented friend Josh helped me record some of the songs I had written along with his superior guitar and/or piano playing. Here is the first one, with the lyrics below–enjoy!
The sky is closing in
My desires are torn in two
If You’d give me anything I want
I don’t know what I’d ask of You.
My tears resume their flow
Every five minutes or so.
Your gentle, patient voice repeats
Every time I let them go:
“Just trust Me
Just trust Me
Just trust Me.”
My faith is stretched so tight
Learning how to fight
If my trust in You was a muscle,
It would sure cramp up tonight!
You take me deeper still,
Down into Your will, saying,
“You trust Me, child; that’s great, and now,
I just want you to know:
You can enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me.”
“Just tip back your head
Just take a deeper breath
Just wait for Me until you feel
My wings under you again.
Just be still and know
That I AM God and so
As I’m working all for good
You can feel joy in letting go
And enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me.”
Just be still and know
That I AM God and so
As I’m working all for good
You can feel joy in letting go
And enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me
Just enjoy trusting Me.”
Thank you for posting that. As you know I’m in a waiting period. I’ve been called back to Lancaster to serve with EMM. Right now I’m waiting to see when Gods’ timing is for that. I needed that word today. Sometimes the waiting has been hard.
