Day 13: The Fat Cells Under Your Skin

Lord Jesus, what do You want to say to me about the way You love Yourself and the way You want me to love myself?

We have been going through the Bible talking about how I want you to love yourself and agree with Me about yourself the way Jesus did. Today I want to apply all these lessons to something very practical.

Dearest, I love and accept all of you, including the fat cells in your belly and under your skin, and I want you to agree with Me and do likewise. You are just as precious to Me and just as valuable to Me and just as beautiful to Me as you would be if you weighed much less or much more.

I have never based your beauty or worth or desirability or worthiness of being loved on the number of fat cells under your skin. That is one of the most poisonous, abusive lies that your culture tells women, and I hate it. It disgusts Me. I detest it with a passion.  It is a stronghold of demonic lies in your culture and I want you to have nothing to do with it.

I have lost more female warriors in your culture over this than over perhaps any other issue. Women are dropping like flies because they are not listening to Me about their weight and the number of fat cells under their skin and how important that really is and what makes them beautiful (it isn’t that).

You must learn to listen to Me and to fear Me more than you fear gaining weight. Your fear of gaining weight is the fear of losing control and becoming a less valuable person. That is what your culture has taught you about this. It is lies, all lies. I created women to be fatter than your culture celebrates and I created men to enjoy women who are fatter than your culture tells them they should be. I do not appreciate what your culture is telling My daughters (and sons) and I do not appreciate what My daughters are telling themselves and one another.

Don’t fall for it. Thousands of women–perhaps millions–would have been saved from wasting their lives, or decades of their lives, in self-hatred and despair and defeat and pain and bondage and slavery to works and a law that isn’t even My law but a stupid man-made (or woman-made) law if they could have heard Me telling them what I am telling you now. Convicting you of this is one of the most loving and merciful gifts I will ever give you, and it is the most important thing you can receive from Me today.

You are a beautiful shape. You are a beautiful size. I don’t think you need to lose any weight to be beautiful or healthy. The fat cells in your belly are something I created your body to produce to protect you from starvation and famine and disease. They are beautiful. They are a good gift, and you do not have too many of them.

I want you to eat when you are hungry, as much as you are hungry for, and trust your body and your appetites, and trust Me, and enjoy every mouthful, and not say one word of self-reproach or self-condemnation or even self-doubt as you eat. I don’t want you to poison your food with condemnation. Eating well is a picture of absorbing my Word into your heart. I want you to live in plenty and abundance.  I am your Shepherd; you shall not want. I lead you into green pastures so you can eat the grass and I prepare a table before you so you can feast in the presence of your enemies. I am that kind of God. You are not addicted to food just because you eat more than you used to or more than someone else does. You are fine. I know your heart is Mine. The way you can show that is by obeying Me about this.

I would rather you err on the side of eating too much rather than too little. Too little is more dangerous for you. Your fat cells are your body loving you and wanting to protect you from danger, from not eating enough and losing your strength and ability to serve Me. I want you to love yourself like that too. I want you to love yourself the way your fat cells love you.

Sweetheart, judging a person by how many fat cells they have under their skin is as superficial to Me–and as abhorrent to Me–as is judging a person by the color of the pigment in their skin. Your culture condemns the one sin but celebrates the other.

Your culture finally acknowledges–in public at least–racism to be an abhorrent evil, yet it still celebrates self-worth measured by size and weight. They are the same to Me. The latter is slightly more dangerous in one way–fatter people can strive to become thinner and thinner people can live in fear of becoming fatter, causing everyone to live in slavery to fear at the same time.

I don’t want that. I want every human being of every size, shape, and color, to live in freedom, because Jesus was crucified to set them free. In every kind of freedom–freedom from political slavery and freedom from a self-imposed slavery to weight loss for worth. Both can kill. Both have casualties. I am serious about this. You are not allowed to sell yourself into slavery.

Your body is beautiful. You are beautiful, just the way you are. I love your shape and size. I think it’s lovely. I love your fat cells loving you and trying to protect you with Me. I love every cell in your body. We are in agreement together, your fat cells and I. I want you to praise Me for every cell in your body. You are fabulous.
