Day 2: The Way Adam and Eve Once Loved Themselves, And We Will Again

Lord Jesus, what do You want to say to me about the way You love Yourself and the way You want me to love myself?

When I created humans, Adam and Eve, they were “very good.” I said so, and they agreed with me. There was no false humility, no saying, “Oh no, I’m not really,” no discomfort with compliments. They could have shouted at the top of their lungs, “YES! HALLELUJAH! I AM VERY GOOD!!! AMEN!” in perfect humility and confidence and freedom, for I had said so, and they agreed with Me.

That is what I created them for. That is what I wanted for them. There was no double standard between how they saw each other and how they saw themselves. They could also have shouted at the top of their lungs to each other, Adam to Eve and Eve to Adam, “YOU ARE VERY GOOD!!!!! GOD MADE YOU THAT WAY AND I AGREE WITH HIM! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!” There would be no double-standard where Adam would say, “Oh, Eve’s a sweetheart but I’m not really,” or vice versa–again, no false humility. No pretending that they were bad and always would be and needed to stay that way. No concept that it was inherently bad to be good, and to know you are good and to say so.

That is how I created you to feel about yourselves, and so that is what is being restored. The restoration always has to be better than the creation, not less. There is no way that the Heavenly City of the New Jerusalem is less or inferior to the Garden of Eden. In every way it is the same, better, and more.

There is nothing that Adam and Eve before the fall had more and you will have less. They were naked and unashamed in their own innocence. You will walk dressed in white robes of My righteousness, washed in the blood of the Lamb, and also unashamed. They walked with Me in the cool of the day. You will dwell with Me always and see by My light instead of by the sun!

They each had a perfect relationship with one other human being. You will perfectly love and be loved by all the redeemed, a countless multitude no man can number. They ate from the Tree of Life in a beautiful garden surrounded by a wilderness they were commanded to tame. You will eat from the same Tree of Life now planted in a glorious holy city, as the New Humanity (that is, Jesus for you, Jesus in you, and you in Jesus) has been successful.

Any gospel that stops short of bringing you to everything Adam and Eve had, let alone more of it, is inadequate, inaccurate, incomplete to the truth. And so any gospel that does not have you by the end of the story yelling, “YES! HALLELUJAH! I AM VERY GOOD!!! AMEN!” back to Me as I tell you that you are “very good” again is not complete.

I am going to get you back there. You are not going to spend all eternity praising Me but feeling terrible about yourself! You are going to feel clean and good in your own skin again, by the time I’m done with you. Remember that that is the goal, as we go through the story of the Bible together, and never lose sight of it again.
