Mary of Bethany Song Trilogy, part 2

Who could have dreamt of the freedom I’ve found

When I’m here at Your feet with my heart on the ground

And I’m closing my eyes so I can’t look around and see

What their faces might tell me they think of me?

And I’m closing my mouth for the first and last time,

Not defending myself when it’s all on the line,

Because I want to hear what You’ll say if I leave that to you

So I do…

And who can stand against me when

You say, “Leave her alone,

I have seen her love for Me

And I call it beautiful!”

And whose raised eyebrows can hurt me now

That I have heard You say

That You have seen my love for You

And You call it beautiful?
